Course Description

Participants MUST get MCNP® from RSICC prior to the class.  Email proof by following the steps in this .pdf file.  You must email this proof to Randy Schwarz with your registration.

The Visual Editor is a Graphical User Interface for MCNP®.  The Visual Editor is provided at no cost, but participants must get the MCNP® package from RSICC.

All participants must have a valid copy of the MCNP® code obtained from RSICC because the Visual Editor will not run without the MCNP® cross sections contained in this package and both MCNP® and the Visual Editor are export controlled.  For more information on obtaining MCNP® and the Visual Editor, Click Here.

This workshop will be taught using the most recent versions of MCNP® and the Visual Editor Code.

The class assumes the user has experience using MCNP® and focuses on Visual Editor topics.

The class will focus on advanced topics in tallies and variance reduction.  This is a truly interactive workshop in which you bring your MCNP® problem that we will improve throughout the week. The goal is to review, optimize, and otherwise enhance your problem and your effectiveness in addressing similar problems in the future. You will also see the suggestions provided on other real-world problems provided by the other participants. Tutorials will be presented on topics of common interest.

Participants must bring their own laptop with a valid copy of MCNP® installed.

Lodging and Facilities

This course will be held in Daejon, South Korea. The class will be held in Yousung hotel in Daejeon
